The New Islington ‘Wraparound Club’ provides high quality childcare for the start and end of the day – we literally ‘wrap around’ the school day!

Our doors open at 7:45 and children can arrive to have their breakfast with us – we serve a choice of cereals, toast and muffins or crumpets, milk and water. Then, until 8:50 when the classroom doors open, the children are well supervised by a team of dedicated Playworkers. The children have a wide range of age appropriate activities to fill their time in a supportive, friendly and happy atmosphere.

After school, children can be in our Wraparound Club until 6pm. Once again, supervised by a team of Playworkers, the children are fed a wholesome yet child friendly ‘tea’ which varies from day to day. The menu may be a range of sandwiches, pittas and hummus, crackers and cheese. There may be vegetables to crunch on and there is always plenty of fresh fruit – watermelon is a favourite!

Then, with a full stomach off they all go to play. If the weather is fine, children have free access to the playground, our field and our Multi-Use Games Area. We have a football table and a huge range of games and cards. Crafts are always popular with our younger pupils, as is the dressing up and the ‘home corner’. As the children begin to tire towards the end of the session, we may put on a short video – otherwise the club is ‘tech free’ with no iPads, laptops or other gadgets.

Our prices are reviewed annually and we are confident that we offer great value for money. For the academic year 2020/21, the breakfast club session is just £3:00. We offer a flexible system in the afternoon – if you can collect your child by 4:30pm then we charge just £5:00 and if you collect any time up to 6pm, the charge is just £10:00

We never turn a child away from either the breakfast session or the after school session, but it is essential that you book your sessions online a week ahead, so that we can staff the sessions appropriately. Booking and paying (we accept childcare vouchers) is very simple via our online system called School Gateway. You may at times need to cancel a session – we request that 24 hours’ notice is given to avoid a charge. Our office staff help new parents to set this up as an App on your phone.

Our children are happy and well cared for; it is an essential facility for working parents. We want to work together with our families to provide this service, but we do request that bookings are made ahead of time, that payments are made promptly, and that collection is by 6pm at the latest.
